If you think starlet of the moment Greta Gerwig (Frances Ha) is on the verge of waving goodbye to her indie film roots to set course for Mainstream Cinema, think again. Her ever-interesting career just got more interesting.
Her next project sees her join forces with one of our favourite modern French directors, Mia Hansen-Løve (Goodbye First Love). Talk about a dream team. Mia's next film, entitled Eden (possibly Lost In Music in the UK) will "attempt to make the audience relive the euphoria of the '90s: the charm and dangers of an existence devoted to music and partying," according to Cineuropa. So, as Mia mentioned in her interview with us, "it’s about the electronic music scene in Paris in the '90s until today, so it’s a stretch of 20 years. It’s about a love of a DJ in Paris." Greta should be right at home as she did show us some of her dance moves in Paris, in Frances Ha.
Alongside Gerwig is Brady Corbet (Simon Killer, Melancholia), who will presumably be playing the DJ? Other than that we don't know too much about it yet, other than some initial footage was shot in New York, and the stone cold fact that the film will be immensely awesome given those involved. We NEED to see this. How about you?
