SXSW 2013: The Winners

So, now SXSW is over we can all get our pens out and jot down the names of the winners, just so we know exactly what/who to look out for over the next couple of years. As it happens, the main two you need to remember are Short Term 12, which won the Grand Jury Prize in the narrative feature section, and William and the Windmill, which won the Grand Jury Prize in the documentary section.

Destin Cretton's teen-based drama 'Short Term 12' took home the Grand Jury Prize (Narrative Feature).

Documentary Feature


Grand Jury Winner: William and the Windmill
Special Jury Prize (Cinematography): Tuba
Special Jury Prize for Directing: We Always Lie to Strangers

Ben Nabors' 'William and the Windmill', a film about  a young Malawian and his windmill, took home the Grand Jury Prize (Documentary).
