The Place Beyond the Pines Soundtrack Features Bon Iver & Arvo Part

Note to filmmakers: never, EVER use Arvo Pärt ‘s ‘Spiegel im Spiegel’ in your movie – it's probably the most overused song of the last two decades; which is a great shame because his stirring, inherently cinematic sound really is something to behold. But thankfully, the people behind The Place Beyond the Pines didn’t commit this cardinal sin. Instead they went for his ‘Fratres’ variations. Significantly less irritating.

In terms of songs, the film features Bon Iver’s ‘The Wolves (Act I and II)’, Ryan Gosling’s ‘Borriquito’, Bruce Spingsteen’s Dancing in the Darl’, Two Fingers’ ‘Fools Rhythm’, YONAS’ ‘Fall Back’, Salem’s ‘Trap Door’, Hall & Oates’ ‘Maneater’, Cryin Shames' 'Please Stay', Suicide’s ‘Che’, and a bunch of original Mike Patton songs (he's the guy from Faith No More, btw).
