Trailer for Ari Folman's The Congress

It's hard to believe but it's been five years since Ari Folman made his award-winning debut Waltz With Bashir. But after watching this trailer, it looks like the director's time between releasing films has been truly well spent.

Off the back of his critically acclaimed debut, Folman atrracted the likes of Harvey Keitel, Paul Giamatti and Robin Wright for his follow-up, the sci-fi animation The Congress, which is a loose adaptation of Stanislaw Lem's 'The Futurological Congress'.

From IMDb: An aging, out-of-work actress accepts one last job, though the consequences of her decision affect her in ways she didn't consider.

The most interesting thing you'll probably pick up on in the trailer is the fact that Robin Wright plays...Robin Wright. What's up with that? Anyway, the film is set to open the Director's Fortnight in Cannes this week so we'll soon know what the verdict is.
