Watch: Trailer for James Franco's As I Lay Dying

So it's true. All these news stories about James Franco's numerous directorial projects weren't all just a pack of lies done as part of some I'm Still Here-style faux documentary. We now have evidence, see!

Premiering in Cannes' Un Certain Regard section next week, As I Lay Dying is Franco's adaptation of William Faulkner's 1930 novel. The film stars Franco (obviously) as Darl Bundren, alongside Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou?), Beth Grant, Danny McBride, Logan Marshall-Green and Ahna O'Reilly.

IMDb describes the film as thus: It is the story of the death of Addie Bundren and her family's quest to honor her wish to be buried in the nearby town of Jefferson.

Get a load of the trailer above and tell us what you think. Should polymath Franco slow down a bit and maybe just stick to acting?
