Grolsch Picks: The Girls of Graffiti

By
Grolsch Canvas

Here at Canvas we’re huge fans of street art, and it’s always exciting to see a fresh perspective on an art form that inspires us so much.

For many, the world of graffiti is seen as one dominated by masculinity – an unfounded idea that art on the streets must be ‘tough’, and therefore ‘manly’. This short film from Isabella Cuevas Pierson disrupts that outdated idea, following a group of girls around Valencia, Spain as they discuss their favourite pieces of graffiti, what artistic expression means to them and the benefits of using femininity in art. A fascinating and beautifully shot film highlighting an important approach to creativity.
