In our Show and Tell series we ask some of our favourite artists to answer questions without using any words - instead using their talent for conveying ideas and emotions through their illustrations.
London-born illustrator and animator Gabriella Marsh has been one of our favourite artists for a while now, and looking at her work it’s not hard to see why. Gabriella creates beautiful hand-rendered illustrations that convey genuine emotion – they’re intricate, unique, personal and full of charm. Originally a graphic design student, Gabriella really began honing her craft while studying in Barcelona, where a mix of practice and guidance helped shape her style; in her words, she “had 12 hours of drawing classes a week and this incredible teacher who really pushed me not to be so precious with my work.” As the old saying goes, practice makes perfect – just check out her illustrated answers to our interview below for proof.
