Stream Flako’s Debut LP ‘Natureboy’

We haven’t heard much from Flako since 2012’s Eclosure: a peculiar, earthy EP that sounded like twigs and leaves crunching under bare feet. It was as much indebted to Eden Ahbez’s proto-hippie masterpiece Eden’s Island as to the contemporaneous post-Dubstep thing was going on then. His first LP is a 16-track ode to the elements but one that deploys Vangelis-style synths and even some grimey bass stabs. So far it sounds like a solid and immersive attempt to “imagine what growth could sound like”.
