Pop Montreal - September 21 – 25

Wonderfully weird and completely unique, Pop Montreal sees the entire city filled with music as Montreal champions independence in the arts by presenting emerging and celebrated artistic talents from around the world.  Venues are scattered across the city from the largest clubs to surprise performances in parks, stores and cathedrals, and you can expect to see the likes of HEALTH, John Cale and Dean Blunt.

Astronomy Photographer of the Year, London – Starts September 17

Art looks to the skies at London’s Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition. This unique collection of images showcases magical views of both our own night sky and of galaxies far, far away, with work from professional and amateur snappers in various categories including ‘Planets, Comets and Asteroids’, ‘Stars and Nebulae’ and ‘Galaxies’.

Affordable Art Fair New York – September 28 – October 2

We’ve been long time fans of the Affordable Art Fair, and this month marks the arrival of the forward-thinking art festival in New York. A unique idea aimed at bringing fine art to the masses and removing the elitism surrounding art, visitors will be able to pick up unique works from extremely talented artists from as little as $100.

Cathedral of the Pines: Galerie Daniel Templon, Paris – Starts September 10

Renowned photographer Gregory Crewdson exhibits his most recent body of work, Cathedral of the Pines, for the first time in Europe. Shot on location in Becket, Massachusetts, where Crewdson retreated, in search of inspiration, the photographer worked with a full crew, planning his elaborately staged images in a process similar to that of a movie director. The result is a stunning collection of cinematic photographs reminiscent of pioneers such as Diane Arbus, Alfred Hitchcock and Edward Hopper.

Unseen Photo Fair, Amsterdam – September 23 – 25

Taking place in Amsterdam every September, the Unseen Photo Fair focuses primarily on undiscovered photography talent and unseen work by established photographers. More than 50 leading contemporary art and photography galleries from all around the world are invited to participate, and the fair has inspired a series of photography, exhibitions and events around Amsterdam around the event.
